Hank is an excellent companion yak. He is at his best when he is in a smaller group of yak, particularly with other steers. We have worked with socializing, handling and grooming Hank since he was 4 months old so he is very used to people and attention.
He loves to get combed and pampered and, of course, treats. Goes into the chute easy for grooming, his fiber releases easy and since he is a royal has dual colors of down.
This steer has goes on his halter/lead calmly and has a sturdy muscular stance. Easy going and loves going for a walk on his halter/lead and is learning to carry small loads.
With a few more years of growing to go, Hank would be an excellent candidate for trekking, a hiking or hunting companion and work partner.
